  8. Installation:
  9. The ZIP file you downloaded contains 3 files:
  10.     this readme
  11.     the Snookerer application file
  12.     the help file

  14. To run The Snookerer, unzip snooker.exe and help.hlp to a directory of your choice, and then double click the Snooker icon.
  15. (WinZip is one of many programs you can use to unzip the download. See www.winzip.com)

  17. How to use:
  18. Version 3.1 now has a help file! To access help, run the snookerer as described above, and either click the Help button on the opening screen, or the small help button at the bottom of the main screen. All you need to know is in contained in that file.

  20. What's new about v3.0?
  21. - The program has been completely recoded, hence the reason for the new version number - 3. The program now uses more 'standard' Windows features and dialogs, hopefully making it slightly more economical and faster. The program download size has been reduced due to this recoding.

  23. And v3.1?
  24. - A help file has been added. The documentation with previous versions wasn't terribly good.
  25. - Keyboard support
  26. - Game, frame and break timers
  27. - Fixed the dialog box shown at the end of frame - it was sometimes far too big for the amount of information it gave
  28. - A few very minor tweaks here and there. I have yet to find any scoring errors in v3. Please inform me if you know differently.
  29. - I've changed the colours of the main screen! I'm thinking of adding an option for the user to pick their own colours. Feedback appreciated.

  31. What's about to be added for future releases?
  32. - Currently being programmed is the 32 bit version! Keep referring to the website for details (www.sm.clara.co.uk). This version should run faster, and be a smaller download. Unfortunatley, it will no longer run under Windows 3.x, but I plan to keep the 16 bit version available for download just in case there is someone out there still using it.
  33. - Generally more statisctis. Perhaps game logging, which would allow for many more statistics to be calculated.
  34. - Anything else the public suggests! You control it!

  37. None found so far! All bugs in the application should be reported to me at sm@clara.co.uk. Please also email suggestions! I enjoyed programming this, and therefor will enjoy upgrading it.
